4 JulThank You St. Johns for providing bag lunches on the 4th of July.  Homelessness knows no boundaries.  Serving those in need from Newport News to Hampton.
5 Jul - The first of our new residents moved into Pine Chapel House. It was a proud moment with tears of joy and smiles, as one more is HOMELESS no more. H.E.L.P. is so thankful to Pine Chapel Baptist Church for their vision of using their vacant parsonage to house those in need.
8 Jul
-  Thank you HELP Clergy Advisory Board members Pastor Steve Edwards (Street Church) and his wife Denise volunteered; also Pastor Jim Moynihan (One Church) for stepping in this weekend to operate HELP's Mobile Cooling unit to provide water, gatorade and snacks to the homeless and to those exhibiting distress from the excessive beat. They served 67 folks on Saturday and Sunday (7-8 Jul). "Do you take after your Father".

b.  Also, H.E.L.P. traveled to the Ft. Eustis Commissary where we were greeted by Cynthia Forman. Cynthia generously donated 24 cases of bottled water to help stock the H.E.L.P. Mobile Cooling Center. Whether in Hampton, in Newport News, at Ft. Eustis...H.E.L.P. is Coming to Your Community. We are so grateful to our supporters that give so unselfishly and help us support those in need.

a.  Next Level Church invited those residing in H.E.L.P. House Family Shelter, Transitional Housing and other homeless guests to come and enjoy a wonderful banquet in honor of them. Carrabba's Italian Grill in Newport News did an amazing job p
reparing and serving the guests. Next Level did an awesome job welcoming and loving our guests. We were humbled to be in their presence and watch them be the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you Pastor Rob Shepherd and members for welcoming us with open arms. Next Level also collected food for the H.E.L.P. Food Pantry.
 
b.  H.E.L.P. was honored to have Dr. Dwane Seals and members of The Messiah Center enjoy a Peninsula Pilots Baseball Game in the H.E.LP. Box. H.E.L.P. is proud to be a partner with the Messiah Center. We are looking forward to the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Day Center (located at The Messiah Center) on August 7th at 9 AM.
